Ice Cream Social

What is your poison? No, I am not asking you about alcoholic drinks. Instead, I am asking you about what ice cream flavor you will not be able to resist. Ice cream is ice cream, I believe. Any ice cream is bound to make most kids, if not all of them, jumping up and down, making cartwheels and rolling on the floor for joy. Too bad for you if you decide to open up an ice cream tub at home. Loving Art

How would you like to support new artists achieve their dream of becoming big or at least, known? How about just feeding the artistic side of your brain by looking at new and fresh works of art? Then, visit “Love the Park” Fine Arts Fair.

The fair will feature 25 juried artists. Plus, the fair will have antique auto display, music, food, micro-brew sampling and wine tasting. The best part is, admission and parking to the fair is absolutely FREE!

You can come on either the Saturday, May 21 or Sunday, May 22 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. So, bring your looking glasses, cameras and appetite and feast with your eyes and palate at the Palos Park Metra Station, 123rd Street and 82 Avenue, Palos Park, IL.

Swim Like a Goldfish

May 14 is Chicago for Safety Day! As part of this event, Goldfish Swim School is offering FREE family swim. Just click here to register.

The event will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and will include the following:

  1. Open swim inside Goldfish Swim SchoolGoldfish
  2. Crafts & Games
  3. CPR and First Aid Information
  4. Safety Stations
  5. A water safety presentation with Bubbles!
  6. A take-home goody bag for each family

If you have never visit a Goldfish Swim School, this is a good time to do so. This school does not only have a swimming pool. This school offers an swim environment so that your child will not just LEARN to swim, but LOVE to swim as well. If you have a child in one of their programs, your child will be assigned a teacher who will track your child’s progress and make sure that your child will be ready to explore his or her “fish” side. After class, your child will be rewarded with stamps, stickers, tattoos or small toys to make him or her feel that they did a good job in the water!
