Community Shredding

I’ve said it before, shredding can get tiring and taxing. So, why not bring it to any one of the community shredding events in and around Chicago. You will surely find one throughout the year. No need to hit that shredding every so often. Just keep all your sensitive documents in a box and on shredding day, haul them to your car and into the large shredding trucks.

Field Museum

Are you interested in Dinosaurs? I don’t mean going to a Jurassic Park like museum where there will be a lot of screaming, crying and wailing. No, I mean just looking back to when the dinosaurs still ruled the earth. What about taking a peek at the Ancient Americas or visiting the hall of birds? All these and more you can do for FREE on free admission days of the Field Museum on June 21, 22 and 23.

Maypole Dancing and More

Join the Chicago Waldorf School on Saturday, May 14, 2016 for the May Fair Festival. The celebration will include Maypole dancing, games, activities, music, food and fun from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Chicago Waldorf School, 1300 W Loyola Ave, Chicago IL 60626.

Take our your dancing shoes, let your hair down and welcome spring once again with lots of dances, fun and new friends.

Loving Art

Swim Like a Goldfish

May 14 is Chicago for Safety Day! As part of this event, Goldfish Swim School is offering FREE family swim. Just click here to register.

The event will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and will include the following:

  3. CPR and First Aid Information
  4. Safety Stations
  5. A water safety presentation with Bubbles!
  6. A take-home goody bag for each family

If you have never visit a Goldfish Swim School, this is a good time to do so. This school does not only have a swimming pool. This school offers an swim environment so that your child will not just LEARN to swim, but LOVE to swim as well. If you have a child in one of their programs, your child will be assigned a teacher who will track your child’s progress and make sure that your child will be ready to explore his or her “fish” side. After class, your child will be rewarded with stamps, stickers, tattoos or small toys to make him or her feel that they did a good job in the water!
