More Than Just Dining

Rainforest Cafe is one of those places that you can say, you did more than just eat. When you visit this cafe, try to get a table beside an aquarium, so you and your kids can enjoy watching little “fishies” swim by. If you can, you should also tell your kids what they are called, etc.

This month, June 2016, you can go to the Rainforest Cafe at the Woodfield Mall, Gurnee Mills and Downtown Chicago for a free meal with your little one with a purchase of an adult entree. This is a “big-ee.”

So, if you want a satisfying meal, a free meal for your little one and a fun dining experience to boot, go to the Rainforest Cafe.

Rapunzel No-More

Oh, yes! You shampoo and you conditioner until your arms hurt. You brush and you brush until the wee hours of the night. You twist and tie and keep breaking those hair ties. Are you ready to let go of your Rapunzel-like hair? If you are, don’t just cut it, donate it!

Locks of Love is an organization that helps financially disadvantaged children (under age 21) who are suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. By donating your hair, you will be helping a child smile more and grow to be more confident of his or her looks.

The best part about it is that Locks of Love is supported by a lot of salons in the Chicago area and you get a free hair cut if you are donating at least 10 inches of hair. Check with your favorite salon if they are participating in Locks of Love, so you can schedule your free hair cut right away. One such salon is Great Clips Pointe Plaza. It’s not just any hair cut. You get good styling too!

When you get your free hair cut for Locks of Love, smile to yourself because of the good that you are doing. Imaging the smile of that child, who will benefit from your locks. What is more, you get to benefit too, with a free hair cut. Worth it, right?!

If you are shredding a lot of documents a day, a week or a month, you probably frustrations are going to be the following: 1) Your shredder keeps stopping. 2) It makes a lot of mess! 3) Why does your tie keep going in the shredder?

Well, you are not the only one. That is why a lot of people are always on the look out for FREE shredder days.

A Nice Thought

You gotta love a thoughtful “restaurant.”

Today, mother’s are getting a treat everywhere and to everything from a spa, mani/pedi and meals, of course.

A nice thought of Lou Malnati’s is to give free dessert per mother per table. Not just any dessert! It’s a chocolate chip pizza. The dessert is baked chocolate chip cookie topped with 2 scoops of ice cream, then whipped cream and finally a piece of cherry. Wow!

Now, you know where to go on special occasions. Lou Malnati’s has a number of desserts that you will enjoy, like Tiramisu and Italian Ice.

Any Deal is a Good Deal

Today, I got to try pizza from Leona’s. We got a chicken pizza, which was, surprisingly good. The taste is unique and the toppings were generous.

Aside from the great taste, the pizza place offers a good deal on online orders. You get a 15% discount on your order. This is good, because it takes care of the delivery charge and the tip for you.

Yes, Leona’s pizzeria is definitely a must try!
